Teens Alive2はTeens Alive1の次のステップにあたるプログラムで、2026年は2つの3日間プログラムが連続して開催されます。なお、Teens Alive2への参加にはTeens Alive1の受講が必須です。
34年目を迎えるTeens Aliveは、これまで500人以上のティーンが、感情面でのレジリエンス、正直なコミュニケーション、自分と他者への思いやり、そしてより深く意味のあるつながりを育むことを支えてきました。最初は参加に不安を感じるティーンもいますが、毎年繰り返し戻ってくる参加者も少なくありません。
このプログラムは、Linda NichollsとDavid Raithbyによって生まれ、自己認識、好奇心、コミュニティへの積極的な探究へとティーンを導きます。Linda NichollsとAnnika Raithbyの共同リードによる新しい構成のもと、Teens Aliveは、健全な関係性を築くための実践的なツールと、感情面で自分を支える内なる力を育てる機会を提供します。
プログラムを通して、参加者は自分と他者を尊重すること、自信を持って表現すること、困難にしなやかに向き合うこと、そして人生のつらい経験から成長することを学びます。質問や新しい視点、感情の理解、そして遊び心を歓迎する環境の中で、自信を育み、新しい関わり方を発見しながら、楽しく学べる内容です。
Teens Aliveは、14歳から19歳までの若者で、次のようなことを望む方のためにデザインされています。

“Teens alive had more of an impact on me than I even understood as a teen. When I was there I found it really great to connect with people and developed life long friendships. I was fortunate that my mom was a haven participant in the adult program so we could work on our communication skills together. At the time I found it impossible to stay on top of it outside of family and the program though. However, as an adult, I find myself using the tools I learned each and every day. I am now a business owner and believe that the communication tools I learned in Teens Alive have allowed me to clearly understand the needs of my clients and listen. They have also allowed me to communicate my own needs more clearly with my clients to ensure we are on the same page and there are fewer misunderstandings. On the flip side, in relationships, I have been able to stay strong in my own power and keep a level head when in tense situations with loved ones. This has certainly allowed me to create stronger bonds and even weed out people that were not a fit for me. Annika Raithbyは、人と人とのつながりを育みながら、自分自身との関係をより深めていくことを大切にしているグループファシリテーターです。彼女は、自己成長は単に役立つものではなく、より誠実に、目的を持って、今この瞬間を生きるために欠かせないものだと考えています。あたたかなサポートのもとで、自分らしさを感じられるものは何か、どんなことに情熱を注げるのかを見つめ直し、その気づきを日々の暮らしやコミュニティへと広げていく時間を届けています。 AnnikaはVancouver Island UniversityでChild and Youth Careを学び、若い頃からThe Haven on Gabriolaで集中的なトレーニングを重ねてきました。その経験は、若者や家族と関わることへの長年の関心につながり、思いやりを軸にした関係性のサポートの大切さを深く育んでいます。ファシリテーションに加えて、手を動かしてつくる創造的な活動も好み、表現力と実践力の両方を生かしながら活動しています。
