Davidは、Royal School of Church MusicとTanwood Theatre Schoolで学び、City UniversityでBA(Hons)を取得しています。
俳優としてのキャリアは39年以上にわたり、West Endの舞台作品やミュージカルへの出演に加え、ツアー公演やコンサートでも活躍してきました。出演作にはCats、Dirty Blonde、Les Miserables、Blood Brothers、Starlight Express、When Pigs Fly、Party、Crazy for You、Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens、La Cage aux Folles、Seven Brides for Seven Brothers、My Fair Lady、Me and My Girl、Ziegfeldなどがあります。また、20本以上のパントマイムで演出と出演を手がけ、英国各地で活動するほか、パリ、トリノ、モナコでも生活と仕事を重ねてきました。
現在はフリーランスの演劇クリエイター兼講師として活動し、The Royal Academy of Musicで教えるほか、ロンドン、パリ、オンラインでプライベートの歌唱指導も行っています。これまでにThe Royal Central School of Speech and Drama、ArtsEd、London College of Music、London Studio Centre、Millennium Performing Arts、The Oxford School of Drama、Bath Academy of Musical Theatre、イタリア・トリノのAccademia Dello Spettacoloでも幅広く指導してきました。
さらに、Read Collegeの創設トラスティー、Methuen Dramaの新規提案レビュー担当を務め、現在はABRSMの試験用レパートリー・コンサルタントを担当しています。
近年では、Complicitéのために2022年と2024年のGrief Chorusを創作・演出し、Royal Central School of Speech and DramaのThe Threepenny Operaや、SwindonのWyvern Theatreで上演されたSleeping Beauty、Annie、Cinderella、The Little Mermaid、Snow White、The Wizard of Oz、Beauty and the Beast、Legally Blonde、Jack and the Beanstalk、Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang、Summer Holidayなどのシリーズも手がけています。また、The Theatre in Chipping NortonでRapunzelを演出し、UK Pantomime Association AwardsのBest Pantomime 2021/2022にノミネートされました。ほかにも、White Rock Theatre in HastingsでのAladdin、トリノのTeatro Murialdoで2018年、2022年、2023年、2025年シーズンに上演されたThe Sound of Musicals、London College of MusicでのBad Girls、The Royal Central School of Speech and DramaでのCoram Boyの音楽監督、さらにAccademia Dello SpettacoloでMario RestagnoのためにIl Piccolo Principe、Musicanti di Brema、The Selfish Giantの事前制作コンサルティングも担当しています。
